Appearance 雌黄是砷硫化物矿物之一。单斜晶系,晶体呈短柱状、板状,集合体呈片状、杆状、粉末状或具放射状构造的肾状等。颜色呈柠檬黄色(略带绿色)。条痕鲜黄色。油脂光泽至金刚光泽。薄片透明具挠性。硬度1.5~2,密度3.4~3.5 g/cm 3 。不导电。木炭上烧之易熔,火焰呈蓝色,发白烟且有蒜臭味。易熔于氢氧化钾且无残留物。主要产于低温热液矿床,常与雄黄、辉锑矿、白铁矿、石英等共生。
